Me 10 years later

Me in a decade is a neat question to ask. I honestly do not think that I will change all that much in 10 years. Since I retain my childish charm longer than most other people my age and I have not changed my ideals at all since I was littler. I think that I will grow out of some things such as my mild superiority complex and my habit of interrupting people ( sorry Mrs. Turner ). Other than those types of things I don’t think that I will have changed all that much over the course of 10 years, though I do admit that I could definitely be wrong.

Editorial

This editorial is about the Sunday night before Tom Robinson’s case outside the county prison. There was a mob of white men who demanded that Atticus Finch, an attorney release Tom Robinson, a negro who was accused of the eledged rape of a white woman, so they could impose vigilante justice on him. They were stopped by the words of Atticus Finch’s 8 year old daughter Jean Louis Finch, AKA scout finch, who played to their humanity leading to the crowd’s dispersing.

This is a detrimental impact to our small-town society. This act of aggression towards this man is a blaiten disregard for the principle “innocent until proven guilty”. It is most certainly a hate crime aganst the colored community and this way of thinking is repulsive and is simply improper.

The people who have done this have their own motives for doing so. They think that what they have done is Justified because of the fact that they thought that the man was guilty for his actions because of the stereotypes that they were taught at a young age. From their perspective Tom Robinson was guilty of the unforgivable crime he was accused of.

I however do not agree with their reasons for doing this. It is true that he was accused of the crime of the rape of a white woman, though we are still yet to know whether he is guilty of this crime. He has not even received a trial yet to prove him guilty or innocent. I do not believe that the men we’re in their right minds while trying to do this and were unreasonable in their actions to impose vigilante justice.

I propose that the solution to this is to indulge in correct behavior and promoteing a non-biased and non aggressive approach when dealing with sensitive topics such as these.

Our Constitution states “all men shall be created equal”. I dare say I think we should follow it. Don’t you?

I’m Thankful For

Well, here’s another blog that I have to do if I’m going to get my grade up. At least holiday themed this time. I know that Mrs. Turner is going to be the only one to read this, but it’s fun pretending that I have an audience, well, lets start. I have to say the first thing I’m thankful for is my family (of course) and all the great things that they do for me, especially my parents (again of course). My mom is always there for us when things go bad and helps us through it even though she’s got more than enough problems on her own. My dad works hard every day to provide for us and laughs with us and protects us, even when he’s out of town he gives us some joy. My older siblings are just how you’d expect they’d be, angsty and unbearable but they can be great when you get them in a good mood. Well lets wrap this up. The bells about to ring and I have exceeded the word limit. See you, bye.

Reopening of the Emmett Till case

D.   Mrs.Mobley said this to him. ” Keith you’re about to grab a rattlesnake by the tail” This refers to the time that he is going into a dangerous situation. This is also a warning to him and this is not something to be messing with.

E.    Beauchamp said this about Mr. Nelson. “Stanley Nelson- and I don’t want to talk bad about him- he knew I was working on this film. PBS turn me down many times; he’s a known documentarian. But I guess it was helpful that his film was done: it brought a lot of attention to this case.” Nelson only said this about Mr. Beauchamp. “I’ve met him.”

F.   I believe Mr. Nelson felt strongly about the making of this film. He felt determined to finish it in order to be able to reopen the case. He showed those emotions in this quote. ” it’s a great feeling, it’s an incredible feeling to be part of this, the film it was hard to make, it was emotional to make, it was an honor to make.”

My first crush

She was smart and we were both fans of the same thing. She had brown hair and she had glasses. I told her, she shut me down. she did not like me at all and did not want anything to do with me. Of course after wards I got over it and moved on with my life. This taught me to not try too hard to get to know people if they do not want to know anything about you. I have not had any romantic feelings towards anyone since. This person will remain anonymous in order to avoid being embarrassed.
